The city of Orihuela
The range of cultural offerings and monuments will satisfy any requirement.
Declared a Great City in 2010, Orihuela is a municipality located in a privileged and colorful area of southeastern Spain. Capital of the region of the Vega Baja, Orihuela represents the range of colors typical of the Spanish Mediterranean.
The municipality of Orihuela is one of the largest in the Valencian Community, which makes the proposals offered to visitors are very broad.
Orihuela is a monumental city with a historic center, declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1969, in which churches, palaces and convents alternate. The municipality is one of the largest in the Valencian Community, which means that it offers a wide range of possibilities to the visitor. This range of possibilities includes great contrasts, from arid mountain ranges with their own habitat, to mountains that are home to real forests; from a fertile orchard to dry fields, which thanks to the Tajo-Segura water transfer have been able to be put into production; we must not forget the Orihuela coast with its beaches of clean, blue waters that have earned them the highest awards, as well as the golf courses that are an added attraction for golf enthusiasts. In order to make all these possibilities known, different guided routes have been organized, being the meeting point for all of them the Tourist Info Orihuela Centro, located in the Plaza de la Soledad, s/n.
